Background
Marlowe is a conceptual gin brand inspired by quiet sophistication and botanical elegance. The brand was designed to feel gender-neutral, upscale, and rooted in timeless design—with a visual identity that could easily sit on the shelves of a high-end bar or boutique liquor store.
Challenge
The challenge for Marlowe was to design a spirits brand that felt elevated yet approachable, blending classic inspiration with a fresh, modern attitude. Marlowe needed to communicate quiet confidence and refined taste without relying on traditional luxury tropes, while still standing out in a competitive, design-forward market.
Solution
The name "Marlowe" was born to evoke a sense of timeless charm and quiet strength—memorable, balanced, and rooted in classic inspiration. The brand identity combined sharp serif typography, soft botanical cues, and a muted, moody palette to express refinement without excess. Every visual element was chosen to create a calm, confident presence that feels both elevated and inspiring.
Packaging extended the identity with thoughtful detail: clean layouts, rich textures, and understated finishes that let the design speak without being too loud. The final system captures a modern spirit—equal parts crisp, cool, and cultivated—designed to leave a lasting impression on the shelf and in the glass.
