Background

GRYD is a contemporary dance studio that blends structure with raw creative energy. The brand needed a visual identity that captured the geometry of choreography and the attitude of modern street culture. I designed a bold, modular identity system and supporting visuals that reflect the movement, rhythm, and edge of GRYD’s mission: to build a space where dancers form, express, and evolve.

Challenge

Design a brand that feels bold, urban, and Gen Z–ready — without being trendy or over-designed. GRYD needed to stand out in a sea of overly polished or overly playful studios, while still feeling inclusive to dancers of all levels and styles.

Solution

I developed a typographic logo inspired by industrial signage and modular grid systems — clean, striking, and timeless. The color palette is mostly monochrome, with a bold accent tone to bring energy and contrast. I used structured layouts and experimental type placements to reflect the sharp, calculated nature of movement while keeping the visuals adaptable across physical and digital formats.

GRYD was built to be more than a studio — it’s a foundation for movement, made to evolve with the dancers it serves.
